Being only 90 minutes from Cape Town and 7km from Tulbagh town, Vrolikheid Landgoed offers an accessible getaway from the busy life, but with quick access to a range of local restaurants, wine farms and activities.
The towering Saronsberg, Winterhoek and Witzenberg Mountains are a sight to behold and create the perfect backdrop for sunrises, sunsets and everything in between.
Our 7 generously spaced-apart self-catering cabins are ideal for a romantic couple's escape with sweeping views, wood-fired hot tubs and indoor fireplaces (some cabins feature cargo nets and outdoor baths & showers).
A family-friendly experience is offered at our exclusive-use, dog friendly campsite with its two cosy A-frames, a children's play area, a splash pool and a rather stylish bathroom.
We're happy to share the slice of country life our working fruit farm has to offer!

Incredibly clean
Stayed in the swallow cabin a few weeks ago. The place was incredibly clean and comfortable, had great scenic views and the hot tub and fireplace was nice for the cooler days even when the weather wasn't playing nice. The pizza oven (over the braai) was a nice touch and fun activity to use. Very happy with our stay, would definitely recommend.

Beautifully designed cabins
They have really thought of everything here, beautifully designed cabins, nice small touches, beautiful setting, very private. We stayed in Barn Owl and Woodpecker which both had log fires, braai area, wood fired hot tub, and private outdoor baths. We would come back in an instant.
