Campsite Guest Directory
Welcome to the Farm
Welcome to our farm and campsite! We’re thrilled to have you here and invite you to enjoy the farm, ride bikes, and explore the beautiful surroundings. The campsite is safe for kids to wander and play freely, while adults can relax knowing everyone is secure in our fenced campsite. We kindly request you to keep the gate closed at all times and ensure dogs are on a leash when leaving the fenced area, as our own dogs also roam the property. Beyond that, feel free to unwind, explore, and make the most of your stay in this stunning valley.

Fish Eagle Campsite Instructions for Use - Plunge Pool/ Hot Tub
The hot tub is heated using a donkey system.
Light a fire beneath the chimney (wood is already provided) and continue feeding the fire with the large logs found next to the chimney. The tub takes approximately 4–5 hours to heat up.
You may switch on the pool pump to speed up the heating process. Please take extra care when the pump is running, as the water being pumped into the tub will be very hot.
Please remember to switch off the pump at night to avoid draining the solar batteries.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- NB! The swimming pool pump needs to be switched off at night otherwise you will wake up the next morning without electricity.
- Please note that we use septic tanks. To keep the system working properly, kindly flush only toilet paper. Thank you for your understanding!
- Moving around on the farm is at own risk. Please be vigilant at all times as Vrolikheid Landgoed is a working fruit farm and tractors/bakkies move between the orchards.
- Children are to be supervised by adults at the play area and pool at all times.
- The campsite is child-friendly, caravan friendly and dog-friendly
- There are no designated stands. There is a grassy area where you can pitch your tent anywhere you like— you have the freedom to choose your preferred spot.
- Please keep to the speed limit of 15km/h when driving on the farm roads.
- Recycle glass and tin in the red bin provided please
- All dogs are to be on leashes when leaving the fenced campsite.
- Doggy poop bags are provided. Please pick up behind your dog and throw it in the bin.
Electricity
The kitchen & bathroom are solar powered. Please do not plug in large appliances in the kitchen as this may trip the solar system. The outdoor light is able to run on solar throughout the entire evening.
The A-frames at Fish Eagle Campsite have no electricity, but are each fitted with a small solar light inside.
WIFI & Cellphone Reception
Please note there is no WIFI at the campsites. Both campsites have good cellphone reception.

We acknowledge that accidents happen. We do, however, reserve the right to invoice you for damages or breakages which we consider to be deliberately or recklessly caused, for any items discovered missing after you’ve departed or for a nightly rate for the period for which the damages have rendered the campsite unusable.
